Bring theory into practice with Arla
Are you about to choose a topic for your master’s thesis? Are you thinking about writing your
thesis in cooperation with a company? If so, Arla’s Master’s Thesis concept might interest you!
Why write with Arla?
• Real business cases and access to confidential data.
• Assigned and dedicated advisors to coach and advice you during the process.
• Expand your professional network and gain insight into an international company.
Every year we invite students to our Master’s Thesis Event. This year the event takes place
Wednesday 30 October from 16:30-19:00 at our headquarter Sønderhøj 14, 8260 Viby J.
In 2012 nearly 100 students participated in the event from almost all universities in Denmark.
At the event you will gain more knowledge about Arla and we will have outlined a number of
thesis topics that you will hear more about. This will also be a great opportunity for you to
network with fellow students and Arla representatives.
Below are some of the topics from last year’s event:
• Automation of the Supply Chain Forecast process by using statistical models.
• Analysis of Arla’s position in relation to emerging markets compared to its primary
	 European competitors.
• How should Arla Consumer International tackle South America as a region - and
what would be the ideal future role for our joint venture in Brazil?
• Growing consumer experience and value at the cheese counter.
It is possible for both Danish and English speaking master students to attend the event
and write the thesis in cooperation with Arla. We leave it up to you and your university
to decide on thesis guidelines.
The event is an opportunity for you to meet Arla and discover possible topics for your
thesis. By attending you are not committed to write in cooperation with Arla. After
the event, students are invited to send a synopsis for the topic they are interested
in, and our advisors will get back shortly after a selection process.
Confirm your participation in the event by sending an email to thesis@arlafoods.com
- include your name, university and field of study.
Registration opens Monday 7 October and deadline is 25 October.
Our website will be updated on an ongoing basis, so please follow www.arla.com for
further information.
