This document describes a study using a map-based computer game of team pursuit and evasion to understand team spatial cognition. Researchers designed the game to examine how teams make spatial decisions and how a map representation influences those decisions. The study involved splitting participants into teams to play the game over multiple turns while researchers collected qualitative and quantitative data on communications, movements, and proximity. Initial analysis has shown differences in cognition between pursuers and evaders, and researchers believe further analysis will reveal differences in team spatial processes observable from communications and movement patterns.

Product stewardship in the printer technology industryDawn Kehr
Product stewardship has become a new business model for printer technology manufacturers, where they take full responsibility for their products throughout the entire lifecycle. Global leaders are implementing product stewardship initiatives like recycling and reuse programs to create new revenue channels, improve efficiency, and meet demand for sustainable products. Printer manufacturers are developing technologies to reclaim materials from old products and refurbish equipment to extend the useful life. Strict new regulations around the world will likely drive further adoption of product stewardship practices in the industry.

This mathematics lesson teaches students how to use the distributive property and partial products to calculate the product of decimals. It provides two examples of using partial products to calculate 200 × 32.6 and the area of a rectangular patio that is 500 feet by 22.12 feet. Students are then given an exercise with 5 problems to practice calculating products of decimals using partial products.

This lesson teaches students how to use the distributive property to calculate the product of decimals through the use of partial products. Students work through examples that break decimals into place value parts to multiply. They then practice these skills at stations completing problems involving multiplying decimals using partial products. The goal is for students to strategize and apply the distributive property mentally to efficiently calculate decimal products.

We recently hosted the much-anticipated Community Skill Builders Workshop during our June online meeting. This event was a culmination of six months of listening to your feedback and crafting solutions to better support your PMI journey. Here’s a look back at what happened and the exciting developments that emerged from our collaborative efforts.
A Gathering of Minds
We were thrilled to see a diverse group of attendees, including local certified PMI trainers and both new and experienced members eager to contribute their perspectives. The workshop was structured into three dynamic discussion sessions, each led by our dedicated membership advocates.
Key Takeaways and Future Directions
The insights and feedback gathered from these discussions were invaluable. Here are some of the key takeaways and the steps we are taking to address them:
• Enhanced Resource Accessibility: We are working on a new, user-friendly resource page that will make it easier for members to access training materials and real-world application guides.
• Structured Mentorship Program: Plans are underway to launch a mentorship program that will connect members with experienced professionals for guidance and support.
• Increased Networking Opportunities: Expect to see more frequent and varied networking events, both virtual and in-person, to help you build connections and foster a sense of community.
Moving Forward
We are committed to turning your feedback into actionable solutions that enhance your PMI journey. This workshop was just the beginning. By actively participating and sharing your experiences, you have helped shape the future of our Chapter’s offerings.
Thank you to everyone who attended and contributed to the success of the Community Skill Builders Workshop. Your engagement and enthusiasm are what make our Chapter strong and vibrant. Stay tuned for updates on the new initiatives and opportunities to get involved. Together, we are building a community that supports and empowers each other on our PMI journeys.
