This document provides observations from a shopping experience in Paris: 1) The store had a white and blue color scheme with mirrors on walls and spotlights, but it was noisy from the radio and lacked many flowers. 2) Various smells were noticed including plastic, soap, and candles. Domestic appliances and bikes were also present on different floors. 3) Different flooring materials were used to represent different store styles - green carpet for sports, wood for hardware, and blue carpet for the library. 4) The store aimed to provide a peaceful environment for customers of all types while allowing them to browse at their own pace with subtle lighting and no uniform salespeople.

3. What is this smell?
Plastic? Plastic? Rub?

4. Watch out on what you walk !
• Green carpet and concrete for sports shop
decathlon)  countryside and urban style !
• Wood in  Welcome in my classy hardware store
transformed in a kitchen
• Blue carpet for the library  CONFY !
• Purple carpet zone  quit the white cold tiling of
whashing machines to enter the plasma screen area

5. Peacefulness in a library to preserve !
All types of clients : families,
couples, students..
Each one choose his path, his
rythm, browse or look for a
specific book…take his time
No uniform for the salespeople
Subdied lighting
I LOVE IT 

6. Opportunities ?
Make these stairs more « Welcoming »
Sell a « gift », a « smile »
Rather than just..flowers

7. Last surprise : myself !
I learnt that:
• Although I don’t like shopping, it can actually be nice to wander around in
shops. I ended up buying some stuff
• Having a set of questions in mind really
helped to look into the details
