It All Starts In The Classroom: Training The Best Teachers
Countless people who have achieved success owe much of it to their teachers.
Teachers guide students from being children to productive members of society.
However, teachers too, need to be trained in order to become the best educators
they can be.
First of all, teachers should know how to set standards. While the standards should
be high in general, it should also be flexible given a few factors such as age and
mental ability. Standards set for fifth graders should be different from those for
college students. But a teacher should be trained to apply standards uniformly in a
class.

Teachers should also be trained to adapt to change according to the student, the
school, and his approach. There are several factors that may affect his class and
the teacher should be prepared, or at the very least, learn to cope with these
changes as soon as they happen. New material can be introduced, or a huge storm
may stop classes for a week. These are incidents that may change an entire
curriculum. Training helps teachers deal with them.
Teachers should also attend seminars on psychology, which could come in handy
when dealing with students. Whether understanding or motivating students,
teachers should have a keen insight on what goes on in their pupils’ minds.

Can you think of other kinds of training teachers need to undergo?

The Role Public Health Informatics Has In Health Care
It’s no secret that modern
patient care is largely driven by
advancements in technology.
Health informatics is an
excellent way of seeing the
manifestations of such
innovations and knowing that it
is making a difference in health
care.
Having highly improved and collated databases via electronic medical records
provides the industry with a better understanding of patient health, which then leads
to better diagnoses and outcomes. On the one hand, information technology allows
for safer care. On the other hand, health informatics leads to more efficient medical
practice as previously manual, and time-consuming work for nurses and physicians
becomes automated.
Another important role of informatics is that it allows the patient to have a more
active role in their own health. A patient portal to healthcare management is crucial
in monitoring their medication usage and for better and faster dialogues or
consultations with doctors. Access to health informatics is especially important to
those with chronic illnesses like asthma, diabetes, and cardiac conditions.

healthcare providers to study trends in key health concerns like drug effectiveness
and disease management. Such data can likewise help doctors and organizations
establish preventive plans, monitor changes in demographics, control the spread of
diseases, and regularly report on any health-related information that concerns the
masses.
Dr. Arden Andersen is a candidate for Kansas Governor. His platform involves
bringing an improved health care system especially to those with scarce resources.
He believes that the government must improve the quality of care, streamline
formularies as well as treatment and medication protocols, reduce middleman costs,
and secure coverage for all. More on Dr. Andersen’s campaign platforms here.

A broad technological revolution is underway. Technology maintains the potential to
change how and where people work and live, how enterprises conduct their
business, and how the efficiency of air, land, and water based systems and
industries can be improved.
It is believed that with enough technological innovation and economic development,
the world’s environmental problems can be tackled effectively. Here are some ways
that technology contributes solutions to our ecological woes today and in the future.
Harnessing renewables The clean energy sector has seen some of the most
important eco-friendly advancements in technology in recent years, including the
widespread development of and investment in solar, wind, and hydroelectric power.
As a result, renewable energy has been cheaper and more accessible.
Climate change mitigation research There’s also significant investment in
research and development of sustainable technologies, resulting in a rise in patent
applications. The World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), for instance,
noted that more patents have been filed in the last five years than in the previous
three decades across key climate change mitigation technologies, which comprise
biofuels, solar photovoltaics, solar, thermal, and wind energy.
Going digital Tech advances have allowed businesses and individuals to lessen the
use of paper and take advantage of computer systems, cloud storage, and
smartphones. Bills and communications are increasingly being sent over email
instead of regular mail, and this “new normal” fosters less dependence on Earth’s
trees and subsequent deforestation.
Smart homes With homes being the biggest energy consumers, new technologies
change the game and offer devices – such as motion-activated lighting and smart
thermostats – that only use power when necessary. While the use of gadgets is more
widespread than ever, energy usage can be significantly reduced both in homes and
offices with these innovations.
As a candidate for the position of Kansas governor Arden Andersen, D.O. seeks to
rejuvenate jobs and economic growth, revitalize education, create healthcare
security, repair roads and bridges, and improve environmental health. Learn more
about his advocacies on this page.

Learning more about mental health awareness
Mental health may not be as mainstream a topic as physical health, but one has to
acknowledge the fact that it is a reality that needs to be addressed by authorities,
institutions, and individuals in their own families and circles. Dismissing it does not
take away the actuality of the situation as supported by records and numbers
gathered by various official and independent organizations. The World Health
Organization (WHO) names depression as the primary “cause of disability
worldwide.” It says a lot about the state of affairs. People must do their part in raising
awareness about mental health issues.
Everyone can do their part in fostering consciousness. Doing preliminary research
on one’s own to correct wrong notions and assumptions about certain mental
illnesses is a step closer to participating in the global initiative to cure and prevent
such diseases. One cannot be narrow-minded and judgmental when encountering
people who might be suffering from mental ailments. Knowing who to approach and
where to go when recognizing symptoms in other people can be a crucial part of
one’s education and involvement in mental health awareness. A person doesn’t
always have to be affected directly or indirectly by any mental problem for them to
get engaged. The only requirement is a genuine concern for people.
By simply acknowledging the fact that mental illnesses are as serious as physical
disorders, one can help in removing the social stigma associated with them. People
will become more receptive to assisting and understanding other people with mental
conditions. More realizations may open up one’s comprehension of mental health in
the process.
Dr. Arden Andersen desires to see all the citizens of Kansas lead better lives. He is
working to heal Kansas by starting with an austere, yet adequate, state budget to
rejuvenate jobs and economic growth, revitalize education, create healthcare
security, repair roads, and bridges, and improve environmental health. To learn more
