A tsunami struck the Arctic coast of Alaska on November 3, 2018. The tsunami was caused by an underwater landslide near a small Alaska Native village. While the tsunami caused no major damage or injuries, it serves as a reminder that even remote Arctic areas can experience tsunamis from nearby landslides or distant earthquakes.
