3. UX Design 3
• User experience (UX) design is the process design teams use to create products that provide meaningful and
relevant experiences to users.
• User experience design, or uxd, considers each and every element that shapes the user experience. It’s all
about designing specifically for the needs of the user or customer, looking at things like ease of use, quality,
and efficiency.
• User experience, or ux, is a term used to describe the overall experience a user has when interacting with a
product or service in a given context.
What is difference UI and UX?
UI refers to the screens, buttons, toggles, icons, and other visual elements that you interact
with when using a website, app, or electronic device. UX refers to the entire interaction you
have with a product, including how you feel about the interaction.
4. UBIQUITOUS INTERACTION 4
• Ubiquitous interaction conducts research in human-computer interaction in particular
: multimodal interaction, interactive intent modelling, mixed reality providing innovation
for applications in information discovery and wellbeing.

Components of a User Experience
• effects experienced due to usability factors
• effects experienced due to usefulness factors
• effects experienced due to emotional impact factors
Five different qualities of Interface/ Website that will impact the experience of the site’s
visitors:
• Utility- single design different experiences and different usability
• Functional integrity- functional integrity(updation of dead links etc)
• Usability- tax payment website
• Persuasiveness- encourages and prmotes for a result of specific behaviour-conversion of
users
• Graphic design- look and feel
6. From usability to user experience 6
• The traditional concept of usability
• Misconceptions about usability
• The expanding concept of quality in our designs
Is not emotional impact what we have been calling user satisfaction?
• Functionality is important, but a quality user experience can be even more
so
• A good user experience does not necessarily mean high-tech or “cool”
• Design beyond just technology
• Role of branding, marketing, and corporate culture
7. Emotional impact as part of the user
experience
7
• The emotional aspects of user experience are just what the term implies. We are
talking about pleasure, fun, aesthetics, novelty, originality, sensations, and
experiential features—the affective parts of interaction. In particular, it is about the
emotional impact of interaction on the user. Users are no longer satisfied with
efficiency and effectiveness; they are also looking for emotional satisfaction
Seven Dimensions of EMOTIONS:
• attractiveness
• symmetry
• sophistication
• trustworthiness
• awkwardness
• elegance
• simplicity
