This document discusses the concept of aporia, a Greek term meaning lacking a path or way. Aporia refers to a state of puzzlement or confusion when a misconception has been exposed, creating an opportunity for true knowledge to be reconstructed. The experience of learning and getting lost on the world wide web can both be compared to Plato's Allegory of the Cave, where individuals discover a true reality by escaping the limitations of ignorance. A teacher's task is not to eliminate aporia but to help learners seek new understandings by asking real questions that puzzle, confuse, and interest them in moving towards certainty of knowledge.
