The Ice Cream and Cake Song
Thissong justannoysme. There isliterallyonlyone repeatedmelodythathasnopurpose other
than to try andconvince youto go eatice creamand cake. The tempoisalsoweirdtome because itgets
fasterat one pointand thendecidestogoto a constantbeatthat goeswiththe repetitivemusic. There
isonlyfewinstrumentsandIthinkthe mostimportantisthe vocals, but I alsoheareithera softdrum
beatwithmaybe a bell inthe background.
The sad thingthoughis that the contouris catchy and it isstill stuckinmy headkindof like the
PeanutButterJellysong. The theme isabouteitherfoodorsome fatkidtryingto eat toomuch, butI
couldalsomake the case for a personwhoisn’thelpingouthisfriendsandcan’tgethisway. There isa
fewphrase inthe song andagain are repeatedtill theygetstuckinyourmemory. The melodyisalso
conjunctfor the mostpart until he decidestotry and singfaster, thenitbecomesalittle blurred
together. The harmonyis consonantandprobablycouldappearon tv andmost likelyasatsome point,
but I’mnot sure.
The thingis itis alsoa major harmonybecause itsoundshappyandupbeatlike aparty. There is
no dynamicsthatI want to listentoandit isterriblyboringandI couldprobablysingthisafterthe first
time listeningtoit. It isdefinitelymonophonicanditmightbe betterif itwas heterophonicbecause at
leastthenthere wouldbe some change inthe music.
Justso you knowwhatsongI’m talkingabout,Iwill include alink.
