We are collecting items from December 10th to 20th for our local Angels Arms foster homes as part of a service learning project. The homes need paper products, toiletries, laundry detergent, cereal, and grocery store or Target gift cards so the children can go shopping. Anyone with questions should contact Alex Foerstel.

We visited Orange County and interviewed the secretary to learn about their work teaching underprivileged children. We observed the children and saw they were talented and could become future leaders. We did an activity with the children where we provided materials and asked them to create things using their imagination. We were surprised by the superior results, such as beautiful cards and colorful paintings. We then sold the children's creations and used the money to buy them useful school supplies like biscuits, pencil boxes, and stationery. The children were very happy and asked us to come back again for more workshops.

Tuesdays ASSURE
Twenty-one first grade students, including 10 Caucasian, 5 African American, and 5 Asian students with no special needs, will learn about money from listening to a podcast of a book on the topic.
