Angels are special servants of Allah created from light to obey His commands. They have wings and serve various functions, such as revealing messages to prophets (Gabriel), providing sustenance (Michael), and recording human deeds (the guardian angels Kiraman Katibeen). Humans were created differently from clay and have free will, while angels have no free will and always obey Allah. Muslims must believe in angels even though they cannot be seen.
