To Whom It May Concern:
It has been a pleasure to watch Andrew Schellenger grow into a talented 3D artist. I know Andrew well. He
recently graduated from the Media Arts and Animation Department at the Art Institute of Colorado, where I
was his instructor for multiple classes. Early on, I observed Andrew’s talent emerging through stop motion
animation projects, where timing and storytelling was more important than software control. Throughout the
program, Andrew tackled more and more complex problems with determination and persistence. Even when
frustrated, he always maintained a good sense of humor. He was never arrogant and he was always quick to
lend a helping hand to a struggling colleague. No matter the task, Andrew challenged himself to deliver high
quality work in all my classes.
Along the way, Andrew developed strong software skills in Adobe Photoshop, Pixologic ZBrush and Autodesk
Maya. He is now a competent 3D animator, as can be seen in his graduate demo reel. But I believe his true
passion is in 3D modeling. Andrew is a thorough researcher and he exhibits a tenacity for capturing detail and
maintaining scale in all his 3D projects.
I would recommend Andrew Schellenger to any position that requires dedication to 3D craft and that
appreciates humor and humility. Please feel free to contact me if you would like to talk about my experience
with Andrew in more detail.
Sincerely,
