Editor's Notes

  1. This development is going to impact reinsurance prices for direct writers and it’s 100% external / beyond their control.
  2. Investors abroad have noticed: growth in LatAm is higher than in their traditional markets. So it’s attracting invesment.
  3. Pushes prices down and asset prices up International competitors already dealing with Solv. II and Risk-based capital requirements
  4. Investment options limited. Vulnerable government bonds are “risk free” investment choice, for example.
