6. Pivot Foot:
•When a player
receives the ball while
standing still, one foot
becomes their pivot
foot.
•The player is allowed
to pivot on their pivot
foot but must keep it
planted on the floor.

three-point area, the
team is awarded 2

•Free throws are awarded
after certain fouls, such
as shooting fouls or
technical fouls.
