 Paulo Coelho was born in August 24,
1947 in Brazil.
 He was a theater director, an actor and a
journalist.
 He wrote the novel Alchemist in 1988.
 Over 65 million copies were sold out
throughout the world and it won the
several international awards.
 Translated in 67 languages.

Santiago, The Alchemist, Shopkeeper,
Melchizedek, The Englishman and Fatima.

6. MAIN IDEA
 When you really want something, the entire
universe conspires in helping you to achieve it.
 Language of the world tells us that universe is
tied together.
 To find ones destiny is persons only obligation.
 Those who don’t understand their personal
legend will fail to comprehend its teachings.
 All things are originated from single soul which
is the soul of the world and are linked to one
another.

7. SUMMARY
 Santiago (a shepherd boy) who loves to travel and also
reading books.
 First journey was toward Tarrifa where he wanted to sell
wool to merchant.
 At night he slept under sycamore tree and saw a dream
about treasure in the pyramids in Egypt.
 He went to dream interpreter and promise her to give 10%
as her fee.
 After that Santiago met Melchizedek who was actually a
king.
 Melchizedek told Santiago about the location of the
treasure and got 10% of his sheeps.

8.  Santiago sold his remaining sheeps and started his
journey.
 At Tangier he lost his money and started to work
with crystal merchant.
 After saving some money he continued his
journey again.
 Then he met English man who was in search of
Alchemist.
 They stayed in the village where Santiago met
Fatima.
 They also met Alchemist who was a 200 year old
scientist. He made gold from led.
 Start journey with Alchemist.

9.  Santiago learned the language of universe in
desert by changing himself into wind.
 He reached the pyramids where he was robed
by robbers.
 He told his dream to robbers and, they laugh
and considered him foolish. One of them told
him that he also had a dream of treasure buried
under sycamore tree in Spain but he is not
foolish to believe such foolish dream.
 Santiago went to Spain dug under the tree and
found the treasure.

5. Always take action (powerful way of learning).
6. Learn universal language (body language).
7. Do unrealistic(convert impossible to possible).

 Alchemist is much connected to our lives.
 Everyone in his life has some dream, but
some just surrender it while some chase
them until success.
 Set your dream and follow them with full
passion.
 We should never give up.
 Nothing is impossible.
 Journey to success is difficult but it has a
great reward.
