Alberto Valentin Escolano has over 40 years of experience in football as a player, manager, and technical secretary. He played professionally for Barcelona and Figueres from 1973-1995, and then served as the sports director and general manager of Figueres from 1995-2002. From 2003-2008 he was the sports area coordinator for Espanyol, winning the Copa del Rey in 2005-2006. He was then the technical secretary and chief scout for Barcelona from 2010-2015, during which time the club won numerous trophies under Guardiola, Tito, and Enrique. Currently he is a professor teaching sports management and talent identification.
