Commentary:I met with my facilitator
and we talked about how big the race
was and he explained to me how the
race had worked in the past.

Commentary:Met with Mr. Huffman
again and he explained the jobs I was
going to take on.
9/20/11 Activity: Worked on race
8:00 P.M. – 9:30 P.M.
Commentary:Worked on my project
after I got off work, I helped find and
talk to old sponsors

Commentary:Stayed after work and
started to write out post cards to all of
the participants of the race the
previous year

Commentary: I finished writing out the
post cards and started to organize the
raffle prizes

2. Activity: Rotary Club Meeting
10/6/11 Commentary: I attended one of their
6:00 P.M. – 7:30 P.M. meetings and we talked about the race,
volunteers, and the final supplies
needed to make the race successful
10/7/11 Activity: Working on the race
8:00 P.M. – 9:30 P.M.
Commentary:I finished organizing all
the prizes and I put the medals
together
10/15/11 Activity: Race Day
5:30 A.M. – 1:30 P.M.
Commentary:I got to the race and set
up all the tables, cones, and start and
finish lines. While the race was going
on I picked up trash and started getting
things organized for the runners when
they started to come in. I handed out
completion medals to the 1 Mile
runners and after that helped people
register their times for what place they
got. After the race was finished I
handed out door prizes, medals and
trophies. After everyone left I helped
others clean up the tables, food, and
trash around the Y.
