2. Introduction
• Famous author Cesare Pavese said, “If you wish to travel far
& fast, travel light. Take off all your envies, jealousies,
unforgiveness, selfishness & fears
• What you think you can take with you while you travel by air?
• Some tips you need to follow
3. Pack Less
• Travelling with just hand-luggage should be your
goal
• Carry a light suitcase or backpack that's just
enough for you
• Consider carrying less clothes especially if your
destination hotel have laundry services
• Take few toiletries along, you can use the
destination hotel toiletries provided if your not
particular
• Take less & you’ll travel cheaper (no check-in
luggage fees)
4. Always Travel In A Hoodie
• They may have become the uniform
of unruly teenagers, but hooded tops
make excellent travel garments
• Just slip up your hood to retreat
from the world of noise & light
when you want to sleep on a
flight/airport seat
5. Things You Should not Wear on a Plane
• Don't wear tight clothing, they can restrict
blood flow in the confining space of an airplane
seat
• Wear loose-fitting natural fiber garments
• Don't wear high heels which are restrictive, they
cause a long list of maladies, from chronic foot
pain to hammer toe
• Wear your most comfortable shoes like your
hiking boots, as wearing the bulky shoes as
opposed to packing them frees up some suitcase
space
• Wear Freshly washed clothes
• Don't wear offensive clothing
• Don't wear warm weather clothing, do layers
they are a traveler's best weapon against such
varying conditions
6. Carry Your Medicines
• Accidents happen & uncalled illnesses can
come up so be prepared
• Always take band aids, antibacterial cream &
ointments for cuts & scrapes
• Carry prescription drugs or over the counter
drugs you usually use , airlines may not
always have medicinal drugs you are used to
7. Tiger Balm is medicine of the gods
• This Singaporean-made balm
• Soothes sore muscles after a lot of
travelling
• Also works as an insect repellent to
keep the little biting beasties away
8. Bring Healthy Snacks
• Save yourself some cash, probably some
heartburn & even some time on the treadmill
by packing your own healthy snacks rather
than relying on airport & airline food
• Simple, cheap snacks can keep you healthy &
prevent your blood sugar from dipping too low
during a long flight
• Crunchy snacks like carrot sticks, celery sticks
& whole-wheat crackers are satisfying &
require a minimum of fuss to eat in your seat
9. Bring Hand Sanitizer
• It's easy enough to be a vigilant hand-
washer while you're still on ground, where
soap & water are pretty easy to come by.
The airplane bathroom has both, too, so
make good use of them
• A simple preventative measure, like using
hand sanitizer, can help keep at least some
of everyone else's germs out of your
system
• Staying healthy while you're traveling is
important
10. Carry A Sleep Kit
• Sleep kits can be purchased in most airport gift
shops or you can build one at home
• Basics for a sleep kit include a U-shaped travel
pillow & an eye mask
• Keep with your luggage
• Earplugs can definitely help
• Noise-cancelling headphones can make a world of
difference
• A small blanket or large shawl is the final item you
might want to stash with your sleep kit. It's nearly
impossible to grab some sleep when you're
shivering
11. Drink Water
• Air in the cabin isn't humidified, which leads
to that all-too-familiar parched feeling
• Lips chap, nasal passages dry out, skin feels
papery & likelihood of blood clots can even
increase
• All these things can be mitigated by staying
hydrated simply drinking water
• Don't try to substitute coffee, soda or a tiny
bottle of booze for water either. Caffeine and
alcohol will dehydrate you the opposite of
what you're trying to achieve
