 It’s narrative structure is closed because you find
out the reason for the plane crash, non-linear
because the interviews are all filmed at separate
times but don’t show up chronologically and single
strand because the plane crash is the sole focus of
the documentary.

3. CAMERAWORK
 The Standard Medium close up is used in all of the
interviews.
 There are also tracking shots in the reconstructions
as well as handheld shots.
 There are big close ups and extreme close ups on
bits of the wreckage so the viewers get a good look
at the pieces.
 There are also zooms on people being interviewed
as well as pieces of the wreckage.

4. MISE EN SCENE AND SOUND
 During interviews with investigators parts from the
crash could be seen on tables in the background
along with other investigators looking at them.
 Like all other mixed documentaries there is a
narrator. In this one the narrator is male, he talks
clearly in standard English and his role is to link
everything together.
 On the reconstruction you can hear screams of the
passengers as the plane is crashing.

5. EDITING, ARCHIVE MATERIAL AND GRAPHICS
 The usual cuts between different scenes throughout
the entire documentary. Slow motion is also used
during the reconstructions.
 The archive material consists of news reports from
the time of the crash and photos of the crash.
 The graphics include simple white text, this shows
the persons relevance to the topic, title and name.
The graphics also include a CGI recreation of what
the plane looked like as it crashed.
