Aiperi Sharipova gathered 11 volunteers to visit a nursing home in Naryn, Kyrgyzstan on April 7th, 2011. They greeted the 11 elderly residents warmly, some with tears in their eyes. They spoke with one resident, Junusof Beishebai, who shared his life story and background. The volunteers then cooked lunch, gave each resident a handkerchief as a gift, cleaned rooms and the yard, before saying farewell with blessings from the residents. Aiperi felt the project was beneficial and necessary for the elderly, and hopes to continue helping them.

1. Help nursing home In the 7 th of April, I gathered volunteers and we went to nursing home in 2 p.m. ... Ibought food and gifts to the aged living in the house.

2. Meeting with elder people We immediately went to meet with the elderly. There are 11 elderly people. They greeted us very warmly, and even the eyes of some were tears.

4. About Junusof Beishebai’s story He was born in the 15 th of May in 1941 in Naryn region, Emgekchil. He has five children, but the smallest child died. He married to Almabubu, but she died thirty years ago. In this home he lived since August last year. In his childhood he has been in three orphanages: Naryn’s, Atbashy’s, Kulanak’s. Then he studied in collage for two years. He told about life: “You should be strong person, then you will be happy. I don’t …” His father died in World War 2, mother died have three fingers, so I don’t have a job. My life is broken after leaving his father. When I asked “ Do you like this home”, he answered “Yes, I do” He gets a pension each month about 2000 som. It was what about we talked.

5. Cooking lunch for them I gave them presents that I bought for.It was handker - hief s for each of them.

6. Sweeping , cleaning. We cleaned in rooms and also we swept in the yard .

7. F arewell and blessing . I think that my project was benefit, achievable and necessary for old people in nursing home. In the end they b less us. We were very excited and sorry of them. I hope, that we will continue helping them.
