I worked with loan Neniu on the ACG project from March 2003 to November 2005. During
this time he was employed as a painting supervisor by McDermott Caspian Contractors Inc.
in Azerbaijan, on the construction of decks for the Central (PDQ), West and East Azeri
offshore platforms, and the DUQ deck for the Gunashli Field.
Each deck weighed approximately 15,000tonnes.
loan was responsible for the supervision of up to 12Azeri foremen and 200 Azeri painters
through all phases of the work from initial shop painting and metal spraying of sub
assemblies, to completion painting of the assembled decks.
His duties included organising the day to day painting activities under a permit to work
system and integrating the painting with the other ongoing construction activities.
I found loan to be a very competent supervisor with a wealth of technical expertise and I
would have no hesitation in recommending him for future employment in a similar capacity.
