This one-year program meets once a month on Saturdays from 2-5pm starting on June 14th, 2008 through June 13th, 2009. The program will focus on cultivating compassion and loving-kindness through meditative practices like forgiveness, loving-kindness, and compassion. Participants will learn these practices in a gradual, step-by-step process to help forgive themselves and others and develop more compassion, which can decrease suffering and increase happiness. The group is intended for serious meditation practitioners committed to daily mindfulness practice on and off their cushions.

This year long program will focus primarily on the
uncovering of Compassion and Loving-Kindness.
In a systematic and gradual training in the meditative
practices of Forgiveness, Loving-Kindness and
Compassion, participants will be guided in a step-
by-step process of learning to forgive and have
compassion for oneself and others. The outcome
of having more compassion is a decrease in
suffering in our lives, and an increase in happiness,
contentment, meaning and well-being.
This group is meant for those who are serious about
meditation practice and are ready to commit to deepening
their daily practices of mindfulness on and off the cushion.
Each month there will be a specific aspect of mindfulness
that is developed and refined. Participants will also be
accountable to each other in small groups that will
check in by phone or in person regularly.
