JongEun Lee of Creative Commons Korea outlined three huge projects undertaken by the organization in 2008: 1) The CC Korea International Conference held in March 2008, 2) The launch of ccMixter Korea in December 2006 to promote remix culture, which did not work well initially due to a non-Korean user interface style, and 3) Plans to launch a CC Portal by May 2009 to provide a CC license search engine and collect metadata of content under CC licenses.
