In our last paper we compared two alternate machine-learning techniques from
the Apache Mahout stable, namely: Apache Sparks’, spark-itemsimilarity, and its
counterpart Apache Hadoop’s MapReduce. We saw how Apache Spark was better
both qualitatively as well as quantitatively even for moderately sized sites.
In this paper, we look at how we can further optimize the efficiency of these runs
without compromising on quality. We determine how the two algorithms we
studied last time perform when run on all data available and when run only with
success data. In the e-commerce domain, success data is defined, as a subset of
the total data, which we heuristically believe, does not include noise.
In this paper we compare two alternate machine-learning techniques from the Apache Mahout stable, namely: Apache Sparks’, spark-item similarity, and its counterpart Apache Hadoop’s MapReduce. We compare these both qualitatively as well as quantitatively in the context of two e-commerce stores with different behavior to determine which one is more effective and efficient in a given context.

The MODLOCKTM
System is modularly designed.
Every critical part can be easily and quickly replaced, while
maintaining perfect physical alignment and the all important
IP65 rating.
MODLOCK HUKKR CLIPSTM
Spring-loaded locks on either side of every module help
maintain z-axis alignment between panels, ensuring the
modules are always secure in the frame.
MODLOCK DRYKKER SEALTM
Electronics in, moisture out. One lever toggles a central lock
on all the modules simultaneously. This ensures a watertight
seal in the crucial area around the module connector and
eliminates any slight warping to maintain a smooth, flat
screen. It gives you complete peace of mind with 2 locking
systems, rather than just magnets.
MODLOCK REVOLATCHTM
ACASS-SYSTEMS’ patent-pending, one-handed, single-
stroke REVOLATCH™ locking system stays out of the way
during assembly of the wall, and always holds fast, even
in strong wind. Our frames have been tried and tested in
extreme weather conditions and perform without fail.

MODLOCK Touring Frame
The backbone of this advanced, modular LED system is
ACASS-SYSTEMS tried and tested touring frame. Our frames
are manufactured in the USA, engineered and machined to
within tolerances of 0.0005” (0.0127 mm). The frame holds up
to the most rigorous touring schedules and conditions and is
guaranteed to work for resolutions up to 4mm.
MODLOCK Corner Blocks
The corner blocks provide locating accuracy and added
surface area when mated for exceptional strength. Unlike
other retrofitted touring frames, when locked together,
the MODLOCK frame becomes one solid wall with minimal
deflection between panels.
MODLOCK Central Spine
All electronics for the MODLOCK system are housed
in the central spine. The highly efficient switch mode
power supply is attached to the inside of the lid. It swaps
using quick-lock connectors. Neutrik powerCON True
connectors supply safe pass-through power, allowing for
power supply replacement during the show without loss
of image.
