3. The Zimbabwe Taxes Digital Interface (ZTDI) is a burgeoning virtual expert network
for tax and accounting proffessionals. The network was formerly set up in the
month of February 2015. Our networkās headquarters is in Harare at 42 Sam
.
ZTDI opened up its network to members in September 2019 and has gradually
since then build a steady following on the online community. We endured
years of zero membership and we took this opportunity to enhance our online
platformās capabilities in terms of user accounts security features and overall network stability.
We are pleased that our hard work for the past ļve years is now gradually paying off
as evident in the increase of membership on our online community over the past twelve months.
We are excited about our new set of services which we will be launching to corporate clients.
in the year 2021. We envisage our numbers to substantially increase owing to an
inļux of corporates who instead of joining individually as per normal will be joining the
network in groups of tens, twenties, thirties or even bigger groups especially for

The Zimbabwe Taxes Digital Interface intends to create a professional technical
support expert network for a variety of skills including taxation, accounting, human resources and
other ļelds which require expert opinion. The expert network will digitally interface experts and
clients within a secure, convenient and efļcient online community. We believe technical updates
are critical to productivity especially in an ever-changing technological and economic
environment .
While college education plays a crucial role by equipping one with the basic fundamentals required
to execute their duties, we believe it can never be a substitute to industry technical support and
consistent updates. Hence our value proposition is to bridge the gap between college and the
current technical requirements which arise owing to changes in the businessā operating
environment thereby helping our clients mitigate any potential ļnancial exposure. We seek a fair

Market Analysis
The ZTDI is one of the few virtual expert networks in Zimbabwe. While tax and accounting ļrms
provide technical support, we do not directly compete against the ļrms as we provide the virtual
platform through which these experts interface with clients. The market is saturated with
consultants and it is from this pool where we handpick the ļnest of the consultants for our clients.
The ZTDI has positioned itself in the market as a one shop for tax, accounting and team building
requirements for businesses. To date there is limited competition in the space which the business
and instead of working against the the potential competitors we have a model that works with them
as expert members in our virtual community.

In the wake of the COVI-19 pandemic,

We anticipate an increased appertite for the expert network
from both the expert members and clients

Maxwell Mangoro Worked for the Department
of Taxes (now Zimra) from 1982 to 1994. Became Deputy
Commissioner of Taxes in 1991. He Joined EY in 1994 and
left in 2016 on retirement after being a Principal Tax
Consultant, a Tax Director, an Associate Tax Partner, and
then a full Partner for 10 years. Was in charge of Indirect Tax
in the Central African Region of Ernst & Young with teams in
Zimbabwe, Zambia, and Malawi. Maxwell looked after a
wide range of individual businesses, listed and unlisted
companies, and multinational corporations, advising on
technical tax issues and providing practical solutions to tax
problems. Participated in the drafting of the VAT Act which
came into operation in 2004 ā UNDP Project. He Co-
authored the Students' Guide to Taxation in Zimbabwe and
was a member of a committee tasked in 2010 with income
tax reform ā Ministry Of Finance, Zimbabwe, project. In 2016
he Joined Laurus Advisory as a Partner and consults on all
taxes, whether Direct or Indirect taxes. Maxwell Sat on the
board of the Zimbabwe Revenue Authority. Currently on the
Slice Distributors and Aurecon Zimbabwe Boards.
Marvellous Tapera is the CEO of Matrix Tax School
(Pvt) Ltd and non-executive director for Tax Matrix (Pvt)
Ltd. He is the founder of both Matrix Tax School and Tax
Matrix. He has extensive experience in the ļeld of taxation
and accounting spanning over 20 years and broad
knowledge of Zimbabwean and international tax laws. He
has practical experience in respect of Mining, Insurance,
Telecommunication, Manufacturing and Agriculture
sectors and broad overall experience in all other sectors
of the economy. Previously engaged as a consultant by
the Ministry of Finance and Economic Development in
crafting the insurance tax legislation. He was further
engaged by the Ministry of Finance and Economic
Development to train the Zimbabwe Revenue Authority
tax employees on taxation of specialised sectors (Mining,
Insurance and Telecommunication sectors). He is the
author of six books on taxation law in Zimbabwe which
are a key resource aimed mostly at investors and
covering essential information applicable to managing
tax compliance in Zimbabwe. Marvellous holds a MBA
(UZ), Association of Chartered Certiļed Accountants
(ACCA), Institute of Certiļed Tax Accountants (ICTA) and
Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators
(CIS). He is a registered Tax Practitioner with the (PAAB).
