Sherwood was founded in 1967 as Sherwood Patterns and Plastics, manufacturing composite structures for aerospace. It is now Sherwood Advanced Composite Technologies, specializing in developing, commercializing, and manufacturing advanced composite components within its 25,000 square foot Ohio facility. Sherwood fabricates prototypes and parts using techniques like vacuum bag molding and resin transfer molding. For over 40 years, Sherwood has fabricated a diversity of high-performance composite products for commercial and defense applications.

Some of these knobs control the behavior of the operating systems, whereas others control the behavior of the hardware itself. Choosing the optimal configuration of the knobs is critical for energy efficiency. In this talk recent research results will be presented, including examples of big data applications that consume less energy when dynamic tuning is employed."
Kurt works on optimizing HPC codes for educational and institutional (R&D labs) purposes at MIT. He assesses new supercomputing hardware as part of his responsibilities. He has published in IEEE conferences and journals and he teaches embedded programming once a year. Kurt has a BS from West Point and an MS from MIT.

The modern software delivery process (or the CI/CD process) includes many tools, distributed teams, open-source code, and cloud platforms. Constant focus on speed to release software to market, along with the traditional slow and manual security checks has caused gaps in continuous security as an important piece in the software supply chain. Today organizations feel more susceptible to external and internal cyber threats due to the vast attack surface in their applications supply chain and the lack of end-to-end governance and risk management.
The software team must secure its software delivery process to avoid vulnerability and security breaches. This needs to be achieved with existing tool chains and without extensive rework of the delivery processes. This talk will present strategies and techniques for providing visibility into the true risk of the existing vulnerabilities, preventing the introduction of security issues in the software, resolving vulnerabilities in production environments quickly, and capturing the deployment bill of materials (DBOM).

Among the many commercial applications are composite Radomes to Fairings for general aviation,
Antenna housings to Missile containment shells for Defense Primes and Electric housings to Pump-
casings for Major Industrial OEM’s. Sherwood is well exercised in the Commercialization of various
materials and processes closing the “technology Gap” between R&D and Lean Manufacturing. Sherwood
takes pride in our ability to manufacture high quality products economically.

comply with the specific requirements of the individual customer requirements.
