Stacks in Mac OS X Snow Leopard allow users to organize files and applications right from the Dock. Stacks can be created by dragging folders to the right side of the Dock. Clicking a stack will display its contents in a fan, grid, or list based on the number of items. The Downloads stack automatically collects all files downloaded from Safari, Mail, and iChat in one convenient location in the Dock.
