This document summarizes an Erasmus+ project from 2017-2019 that examined gender stereotypes in idioms from a dictionary. Students analyzed idioms sorted into 8 categories that portrayed stereotypical views of women as inferior, such as needing to be educated by force, not being trustworthy, being stupid and lazy, provoking sin, having value only for their beauty or as sexual objects, and belonging at home. The project aimed to determine if such stereotypes contribute to an inegalitarian society.
