This document describes a proposed Android application to assist election authorities in distributed cryptography tasks for electronic voting. It discusses how current electronic voting protocols require authorities to perform complex distributed key generation and vote decryption in a verifiable manner. The application aims to help authorities conduct these tasks for an election with 1,000 voters and 5 authorities, using established cryptographic voting protocols including ElGamal encryption and a verifiable mixnet. It would guide authorities through setup and tallying phases, allowing the process to be robust even if some authorities cannot participate, through the use of threshold cryptography. The goal is to make the complex technical processes usable for non-technical authorities through an intuitive smartphone interface.
