The presentation began
with an overview of the
Greek Canadian History
Project and its social
media outreach which
was given me, the Public
Relations Coordinator.
The introduction was
then proceeded with a
two part overview of
Greeks in Toronto.
2. In late March 2016,
Celebrating Greek Independence Day
Delegate and politician
coordinator at the parade,
and responsible for
communicating all
invitations on the behalf of
the President of the Greek
Community of Toronto.
After the parade, I had the
honour of being the
master of ceremonies
for the wreath laying
ceremony at Alexander
Square on the Danforth.

the parade) aims to also be a fundraising
event, where profits are used for the
Education and Culture Departments at the
community.

8. Raising $153,000 CAD for SOS
Children’s Villages Greece

It was an honour and privilege to speak
about my experience with the children
living in the SOS Family that we
support in Vari, Greece.
In early November 2016, the 3rd annual Reaching for the Stars,
an SOS Children’s Villages Greece Fundraiser Gala
This event is dear to my heart as I have visited
and spent time at the two SOS Children's
Villages Greece families that are supported by
this fundraiser gala, and the 'SOS Babies' Home'
- a Centre that nurtures abused infants and
babies.
