The Visitor Industry Council (VIC) has awarded 174 scholarships totaling more than $2.5 million to African American students and students of African descent since 1991 to promote educational and career opportunities in hospitality management, tourism management, and culinary arts through partnerships with local universities and colleges.

2. The VIC has awarded: college scholarships, paired scholarship awardees with industry mentors and facilitated job placement for VIC students and graduates All since 1991.

Our valuable partnerships with: Miami-Dade County Public Schools Academy of Hospitality and Tourism (AOHT), Florida International University, Johnson & Wales University and Miami Dade College has enabled the VIC to award 174 scholarships to students aspiring careers in Hospitality Management, Tourism Management, and Culinary Arts. Financial support has totaled more than $2.5 million to African Americans students and students of African descents from throughout the Caribbean and Diaspora.
