Product Design Trends in 2024 | Teenage EngineeringsPixeldarts
The realm of product design is a constantly changing environment where technology and style intersect. Every year introduces fresh challenges and exciting trends that mold the future of this captivating art form. In this piece, we delve into the significant trends set to influence the look and functionality of product design in the year 2024.
How Race, Age and Gender Shape Attitudes Towards Mental HealthThinkNow
Mental health has been in the news quite a bit lately. Dozens of U.S. states are currently suing Meta for contributing to the youth mental health crisis by inserting addictive features into their products, while the U.S. Surgeon General is touring the nation to bring awareness to the growing epidemic of loneliness and isolation. The country has endured periods of low national morale, such as in the 1970s when high inflation and the energy crisis worsened public sentiment following the Vietnam War. The current mood, however, feels different. Gallup recently reported that national mental health is at an all-time low, with few bright spots to lift spirits.
To better understand how Americans are feeling and their attitudes towards mental health in general, ThinkNow conducted a nationally representative quantitative survey of 1,500 respondents and found some interesting differences among ethnic, age and gender groups.
Technology
For example, 52% agree that technology and social media have a negative impact on mental health, but when broken out by race, 61% of Whites felt technology had a negative effect, and only 48% of Hispanics thought it did.
While technology has helped us keep in touch with friends and family in faraway places, it appears to have degraded our ability to connect in person. Staying connected online is a double-edged sword since the same news feed that brings us pictures of the grandkids and fluffy kittens also feeds us news about the wars in Israel and Ukraine, the dysfunction in Washington, the latest mass shooting and the climate crisis.
Hispanics may have a built-in defense against the isolation technology breeds, owing to their large, multigenerational households, strong social support systems, and tendency to use social media to stay connected with relatives abroad.
Age and Gender
When asked how individuals rate their mental health, men rate it higher than women by 11 percentage points, and Baby Boomers rank it highest at 83%, saying it’s good or excellent vs. 57% of Gen Z saying the same.
Gen Z spends the most amount of time on social media, so the notion that social media negatively affects mental health appears to be correlated. Unfortunately, Gen Z is also the generation that’s least comfortable discussing mental health concerns with healthcare professionals. Only 40% of them state they’re comfortable discussing their issues with a professional compared to 60% of Millennials and 65% of Boomers.
Race Affects Attitudes
As seen in previous research conducted by ThinkNow, Asian Americans lag other groups when it comes to awareness of mental health issues. Twenty-four percent of Asian Americans believe that having a mental health issue is a sign of weakness compared to the 16% average for all groups. Asians are also considerably less likely to be aware of mental health services in their communities (42% vs. 55%) and most likely to seek out information on social media (51% vs. 35%).
AI Trends in Creative Operations 2024 by Artwork Flow.pdfmarketingartwork
Creative operations teams expect increased AI use in 2024. Currently, over half of tasks are not AI-enabled, but this is expected to decrease in the coming year. ChatGPT is the most popular AI tool currently. Business leaders are more actively exploring AI benefits than individual contributors. Most respondents do not believe AI will impact workforce size in 2024. However, some inhibitions still exist around AI accuracy and lack of understanding. Creatives primarily want to use AI to save time on mundane tasks and boost productivity.
Organizational culture includes values, norms, systems, symbols, language, assumptions, beliefs, and habits that influence employee behaviors and how people interpret those behaviors. It is important because culture can help or hinder a company's success. Some key aspects of Netflix's culture that help it achieve results include hiring smartly so every position has stars, focusing on attitude over just aptitude, and having a strict policy against peacocks, whiners, and jerks.

Google's Just Not That Into You: Understanding Core Updates & Search IntentLily Ray
1. Core updates from Google periodically change how its algorithms assess and rank websites and pages. This can impact rankings through shifts in user intent, site quality issues being caught up to, world events influencing queries, and overhauls to search like the E-A-T framework.
2. There are many possible user intents beyond just transactional, navigational and informational. Identifying intent shifts is important during core updates. Sites may need to optimize for new intents through different content types and sections.
3. Responding effectively to core updates requires analyzing "before and after" data to understand changes, identifying new intents or page types, and ensuring content matches appropriate intents across video, images, knowledge graphs and more.

Zrzeszeniem Sportowym Kolejarz Warszawa. Piłkarze nie grali
w czarnych koszulkach – ustanowionym odgórnie kolorem
Kolejarza były barwy bordowe.
Cracovia stała się Ogniwem, Lechia Budowlanymi, Ruch Unią,
a Wisła Gwardią. W miejsce zlikwidowanego Polskiego
Związku Piłki Nożnej utworzono kontrolowany przez
komunistyczne władze Główny Komitet Kultury Fizycznej.
4. W 1952 roku liga miała formułę dwóch sześciozespołowych grup. Grano w
ekspresowym tempie od sierpnia do listopada. W pierwszym półroczu najlepsi polscy
piłkarze przygotowywali się do igrzysk olimpijskich w Helsinkach. Zastępnikiem ligi od
kwietnia do lipca był Puchar Zlotu Młodych Przodowników, z udziałem wszystkich
drużyn ligowych występujących w składach bez kadrowiczów.

podróżowali własnym wagonem, przyczepionym do rejsowego pociągu.

odejściu Zygmunta Ochmańskiego i Tadeusza Świcarza do Legii (w 1950 roku).
Henryk Borucz. Optymiści przypominali, że rok wcześniej w rozgrywkach o
Puchar Polski Polonia wyeliminowała stołecznych rywali (2:2 i 3:0) i odpadła w
półfinale, przegrywając z najlepszą drużyną kraju, Wisłą (1:2).”

łyżwy, narty i ciepłe ubranka, abyście mogli teraz wyjechać na dobrze zasłużony wypoczynek w górach.
Kilkadziesiąt lat później dziennikarz katowickiego „Sportu” przepytuje Henryka Misiaka:
- Za ten Puchar Polski dostaliście jakąś nagrodę?
- Uścisk ręki prezesa. Aha, jeszcze trzymetrowy kupon materiału na ubranie, kamizelkę i... tygodniowy
urlop od treningów.
(karykatura z „Przeglądu Sportowego” autorstwa słynnego rysownika i byłego piłkarza Czarnych Koszul Edwarda Ałaszewskiego)
Dawniej piłkarz, a teraz
kierownik sekcji piłki nożnej. Kilka dni przed finałem wydał oświadczenie: Spadek z ligi dopinguje nas
do jeszcze większego wysiłku i jeszcze bardziej niż kiedykolwiek serca naszych zawodników biją zgodnym
rytmem w jeden takt.
Kilku
zawodników grało jeszcze w drużynie Mistrza Polski z 1946 roku. Na przykład obaj bramkarze: Henryk
Borucz i rezerwowy Zdzisław Sosnowski; w 1952 roku nadal byli w bardzo dobrej formie. Trener
Szczepaniak miał spory dylemat, którego z nich wystawić w finałowym meczu. W półfinale wystąpił
Sosnowski, zastępując kontuzjowanego Borucza i wypadł znakomicie. W finale zagrał „Żyletka” i

90. KAZIMIERZ GÓRSKI O FINALE
„Później różnie się mówiło o tym spotkaniu,
krążyły nawet opowieści, że został na nas
wywarty nacisk by ulgowo potraktować przeciwnika
i w ten sposób osłodzić mu gorycz degradacji.
I trzecie umknęło nam
sprzed nosa.

92. SYLWETKI ZDOBYWCÓW PUCHARU POLSKI 1952
(cytowane z albumu R. Gawkowskiego „Warszawska Polonia. Piłkarze Czarnych Koszul 1911-2001” oraz
opracowania T. Morawskiego i Z. Krakowiaka „Piłkarze z Konwiktorskiej. KS Polonia Warszawa 1942-1952”)
Skóra i kości,
mięśni nie było widać, klatka piersiowa zapadnięta. Twarz blada, bardzo szczupła – tak
charakteryzował bramkarza Czarnych Koszul Stefan Sieniarski. Wygląd fizyczny sprawił, że
kibice nazywali Borucza „Żyletką”. Na boisku prezentował się niezmiennie w
charakterystycznym żółtym swetrze i bez rękawic. Był bramkarzem niezwykle odważnym i
ofiarnym, o rzadko spotykanym talencie.
W środku obrony wystąpił Antoni Wołosz (1920-1981), zawodnik – podobnie jak Borucz –
pamiętający jeszcze zdobycie mistrzostwa Polski w roku 1946. Wtedy grał w pomocy. Teraz
nabrał rutyny i został kapitanem zespołu.
z gazet. W Czarnych Koszulach występował jeszcze przez 5 lat. Na Konwiktorskiej grał także
w siatkówkę i w koszykówkę. Powoływany do reprezentacji Polski B. Wzór pracowitości i
nieustępliwości. Dobry taktyk. Z wykształcenia ekonomista.
pierwszej, drugiej i trzeciej lidze do początku lat sześćdziesiątych, zawsze serio traktując swoje
obowiązki sportowe i głęboko przeżywając niepowodzenia Polonii.
Najmłodszym w drużynie Czarnych Koszul był Ryszard Wolsza (1934-1988), wychowanek
Polonii. Grał na prawej pomocy. Obdarzony dobrymi warunkami fizycznymi: wysoki, silny,
skoczny i dobry technicznie. Potrafił łączyć sport z nauką – studiował elektronikę na Politechnice
Warszawskiej.
Lechii. Do Polonii wrócił w roku 1948. Nieduży, ale krzepki i masywny, pełen dynamiki, miał w
sobie coś z maszyny. (…) Uderzała żywiołowa radość, którą sprawiało mu granie. Wszyscy
podziwiali jego niesłychaną ambicję i żelazną kondycję, którą zawdzięczał całorocznemu
uprawianiu sportu. Zimą należał do krajowej czołówki w łyżwiarstwie szybkim. Uprawiał też
lekkoatletykę (ponad 6 i pół metra w skoku w dal). Grał w Polonii do połowy lat pięćdziesiątych,
w 1962 roku został trenerem pierwszego, wówczas trzecioligowego zespołu, oświadczając „pracą
swą chcę przywrócić klubowi jego dobre imię”.
94. Człowiekiem legendą wśród Polonistów stał się Leonard Szczawiński (1922-1996), pseudonim
„Lolo”, uznawany za dobrego ducha Polonii. Do Czarnych Koszul trafił z Marymontu w 1948
roku, choć w piłkę grał już przed wojną. W finałowym meczu z Legią w 1952 występował ze
znieczuleniem, po bolesnym urazie nogi. W pierwszym półroczu został powołany do szerokiej
1972 roku został motorowodnym mistrzem Polski w klasie SE 850. Dla Polonii grał także w
oldbojach, współprzewodniczył Kołu Seniorów, działał w zarządzie sekcji.
Prawoskrzydłowym zdobywcy Pucharu Polski w 1952 roku był Zdzisław Wesołowski (1927-
1983), pseudonim „Ciuła”. Potrafił grać z powodzeniem na obu skrzydłach. Do jego zalet
należała szybkość, przebojowość i opanowanie piłki w biegu. Przeszedł do historii jako
zdobywca jedynej bramki w pamiętnym finale. Talent Wesołowskiego doceniono, powołując go
do reprezentacji Polski (jeszcze w 1951 roku), wystąpił w niej jeden raz. Wychowanek Kolejarza
Dęblin, wzmocnił Polonię po odejściu Świcarza i Ochmańskiego w 1950 roku. W 1953 roku
finałowym spotkaniu występował na prawym łączniku. Do zespołu trafił w lutym 1952 roku
Henryka uznawano siłę fizyczną, pracowitość, ofiarność i dobry strzał.
95. Niezwykle barwną postacią był napastnik Marian Łącz (1921-1984). Do Polonii trafił w
Łódzkiego Klubu Sportowego w roku 1950. Wzorował się na Adolfie Dymszy – został piłkarzem
i aktorem w jednej osobie.
grał widowiskowo, niekonwencjonalnie i skutecznie.
gazet. Łącz czuł się emocjonalnie związany z Polonią. Nie opuścił jej, gdy nadeszły smutne lata i
spadki do niższych klas. Grał w Polonii do 1955 roku. Koledzy z zespołu wspominali go jako
dobrego kolegę, obdarzonego niesamowitym poczuciem humoru.
Jerzy Szularz (1924-2005) grał w drużynie mistrza Polski 1946 i był współautorem wspaniałego
sukcesu w roku 1952.
Dobry drybler
(…), obdarzony rzadko spotykana intuicją, świetny taktyk. Po zakończeniu kariery piłkarskiej
trenował przez pewien czas pierwszy zespół, awansując z nim w 1958 roku do II ligi. Wyróżniał
się wysoką kulturą osobistą i wręcz ojcowskim stosunkiem do zawodników.
Lewoskrzydłowym w pamiętnym finale z 1952 roku był Alfred Kobylański (1925-2009).
Pochodził z Gdańska, z zawodu był marynarzem. Bardzo szybki, potrafił mocno uderzyć piłkę.
Dobrze rozumiał się z „Ciułą” Wesołowskim, obaj charakteryzowali się błyskawicznymi atakami
skrzydłami, choć Kobylański w przeciwieństwie do Wesołowskiego był niewysoki i krępy.
Grywał w reprezentacji Polski B. Rok po spadku z ligi opuścił Polonię i wrócił do Gdańska.
tworzyli zespół Polonii i byli współautorami sukcesu.
Rezerwowy lewoskrzydłowy Ryszard Kulesza (1931-2008) w przerwie pamiętnego
meczu pożyczył swoje korki Wesołowskiemu i dlatego do dzisiaj weterani – piłkarze
Jeden pucharowy mecz w 1952 roku zaliczył Andrzej Chomiczuk (1936-1977).
Dwa lata później otrzymał powołanie do kadry narodowej juniorów.
Do dziś żyją dwaj bramkarze pamiętający tamte pucharowe występy. Zdzisław
Sosnowski (urodzony w 1924 roku) to także Mistrz Polski 1946 w barwach Polonii.
Wystąpił w czterech pucharowych meczach 1952, zabrakło go tylko w finale. Z kolei

"Wielka Polonia" i wsparciu grupy "Emeriten Gang" dyplom poddany został renowacji. Dyplom GKKF jest najważniejszym
dokumentem potwierdzającym zdobycie Pucharu Polski w 1952 r., ponieważ w latach 1951-1956 to GKKF, a nie Polski Związek
Piłki Nożnej, organizował w Polsce rozgrywki piłkarskie. (za J.Kamiński, 100 lat KS „Polonia” Warszawa, Warszawa 2011)
Polonii do szczęścia brakowało zaledwie jednego punktu. Jednego punktu na
wagę powrotu do I ligi w 1953 roku, utrzymania się w II lidze w 1954,
awansu do II ligi w 1956 i 1957 roku.
Koszul Jerzy Lechowski”.
