Enable Remote Registry

What is Remote Registry?
Remote Registry Service. Service
which is part of Windows. As per
Microsoft’s excellent explanation.
“Enables remote users to modify
registry settings on this computer,
provided the remote users have the
required permissions. The Remote
Registry Service is primarily used by
remote administrator and for
performance counters. If this service
is stopped or disabled, modifying the registry will only be allowed on the local
computer. If this service is disabled, it will not affect registry operations on your
local computer. Other computers or devices will no longer be able to connect to
your local computer’s registry.
How to enable Remote Registry?
1. Login to Sites Active Directory, on “Dashboard” select “Tools” then select
“Group Policy Management” or from run type “gpmc.msc” Group On the
“Server Manager”, click “Add roles and features”.

2. From “Group Policy Management Editor” window Select “Seeb Policy”
or sites which you want modify policy then right click select “Edit”.
3. Expand “Computer configuration > Policies > Windows Settings >
Security Settings > System Services” find the “Remote Registry”.

4. On “Remote Registry Properties” window, select “Define this policy
setting” checkbox, which will then in turn enable the options below it.
And you simply want to change the “Select service startup mode” to
“Automatic”.
5. Now after a group policy update (which can be forced on individual
machines vis “gpupdate /force” and reboot the machines will have the
“Remote Registry” started and running.
