A work-based learning advisory board is a group of people dedicated to providing advice and resources related the career development of all students.
What is our mission?
The mission of the Work-Based Learning Program is to assist in providing a highly trained, sophisticated and career oriented work force. This is accomplished by developing partnerships between business, industry, students, parents, school systems, coordinators, and post-secondary institutions which lead the participating student into a meaningful career.

Provide a variety of experiences that develop the students’ skills
Formally evaluate the student at least two times during the work experience
Allow each student the opportunity to interview two employees about their careers
Communicate with the teacher
Complete required state paperwork with the student
Follow all federal and state child labor laws.
Treat each student as a regular employee
Teach each student about work based culture
