Washington The North Cascades are the highlight of this section. They are a fitting tribute to the end of the Pacific Crest Journey.   The rugged, roller coaster, route through the North Cascades often climbs up a deep canyon to a pass, only to descend to another deep canyon and then repeat the cycle again.   The trail ends at Monument 78 at the USA/Canadian border, seven miles south of Highway 3 at Manning Provincial Park, British Columbia .
The trail enters Washington on a toll bridge over the Columbia River called, “Bridge of the Gods”
