History of my Father
I was born at Lost River, Idaho, on August 1, 1881, a son of Andrew Gustave Erickson
and Martha Melinda Waters. I came to Beaver, Utah, with my parents while I was in my
infancy and have been here since and made this my permanent residence.
The family first occupied the Rocky Ford Ranch until the death of my father, Andrew
Gustave Erickson, August 28, 1883. Mother died April 20, 1902.
I married Ethel Roberts, daughter of William Herman Roberts and Anna Elizabeth
White, December 25, 1905.
I spent most of my life working in mines of Utah and Nevada, but worked at agricultural
pursuits about twelve years. Five years for John F. Jones of Beaver, Utah, and seven
years in Utah's Dixie for Dr. Warren Shepherd of Salt Lake City.
I had seven children: Beatrice, Elvin, Loe, Leonard, Pershing, Lark and Joe. Joe was
drowned while in the Navy in the year of 1945, September 3rd.
The rest of his children are still living. He died January 23, 1945, in Beaver, Utah.
I was sealed to Ethel Roberts, April 15, 1950, in the St. George Temple.
