This document outlines the evolution of cellular network technologies, starting from 1G analog networks like NMT and AMPS, to 2G digital networks such as GSM and cdmaOne, to subsequent generations bringing higher data speeds and packet-switching capabilities up to 4G technologies like LTE and WiMax that support broadband internet access on mobile devices.
