Their "democracy footprint", including lobbying and political funding, remains concealed and unaccountable. The document suggests 4 ways for corporations to take on political lobbying in a more responsible way: 1) Use advocacy as a sustainable business strategy, 2) Complete transparency through 'political due diligence', 3) Subject corporate lobbying to board scrutiny, and 4) Switch from unfavorable to favorable lobbying that supports environmental and social protections.
