Medical Officer
Job Description
Our client, an established healthcare provider in Singapore is looking to hire Medical Officers.
A Medical Officer main responsibility is to provide primary health care to patients and ensure
maintenance of clinical and service standards.
Responsibilities:
 Manage acute medical condition e.g. URTI, gastroenteritis, skin conditions etc.
 Manage chronic medical conditions e.g. hypertension, diabetes, IHD, asthma,
hyperlipidemia and in compliance with the clinical management protocols.
 Function as physicians to provide continual care of patients and their families.
 Manage acute emergency cases.
 Perform minor surgical procedures including removal of lumps and bumps.
 Performs women’s cancer screening for preventable female cancers.
 Provide family planning advice and services including IUCD insertion and removal.
 Provide individual health education and counselling.
 Provide targeted opportunistic health screening for target population groups.
 Manage patients coming for travel advice and vaccination.
 Refer patients to A&E and specialist clinics appropriately.
 Write medical reports.
 Vet laboratory and radiological results.
Qualifications:
 Title or name of Medical Qualification Approved by the Singapore Medical Council by
Registered Practitioners.
 Master of Medicine in Internal Medicine, Universiti Kebansaan Malaysia.
 Master of Public Health, University of Malaya.
 Membership of the College of General Practitioners of Malaysia.
