SETTING THE SCENE
Finally, it’s time for the International Fantasy Football to take center stage!
On Saturday July 15th, at precisely 11:00 EST, the International Fantasy Football League’s will kick off its 9th Annual Draft. At that time
12 teams representing 7 nations and 4 continents from across the globe will begin the process of filling out their 16-man rosters in
preparation the 2023 season.
It has been 7 long months since World Bowl VIII determined the world champion and 8 months since the final week of last year’s
regular season games played out. For the last two months following last April’s IFFL Draft Lottery, each team owner has known exactly
where they will be selecting and undoubtedly have spent countless hours, days and weeks mapping out their Plan As, Bs, Cs, and
even a few Ds. All share one ultimate goal: To be crowned World Championship of Fantasy Football!
A QUICK PEEK
This year’s 1st overall pick goes to the USA’s CORY PROCTER and the PROCTERS. The Procters have never made the playoffs in 8
tries. No team picking 1st overall has ever won a World Bowl and only 50% managed to reach the post-season…2022 NOTES: Drafted
10th for TE Travis Kelce, finished with a 3-11-0 record…Posted 1-8-0 record vs. +.500 opponents and 0-8-0 against opponents who
scored +100 points…TOP-10 QBS- (1) Patrick Mahomes, KC…TOP-10 RBS- None…TOP-20 WRS- (13) Tyler Lockett, SEA…TOP-10

The USA’s GRIDIRON GOOSE and the MIGHTY CYCLONES hold the #2 spot. Which player the Mighty Cyclones choose will be
determined by which of two players the Procters draft: Christian McCaffrey or Justin Jefferson…2022 NOTES: Drafted 7th for WR
Ja’Marr Chase…Posted a league-high 13-1-0 record…Earned #1 seed…Won 3rd-straight Four Winds Division title…Made playoffs for
the 4th-straight season…Posted 9-1-0 record vs. +.500 opponents and 4-1-0 against opponents who scored +100 points…Led league

Choosing 3rd are Australia’s JOSHUA MANN and STORMYOZ. All 6 of their past 1st round selections have gone for RBs, and with
mixed results. Drafting a WR of Ja’Marr Chase’s caliber could be the x-factor that can finally take them over the top…2022 NOTES:
Drafted 1st overall for RB Jonathan Taylor, finished with a 5-9-0 record… Missed post-season for 3rd time in last 4 years…Posted 0-9-
0 record vs. +.500 opponents and 0-7-0 against opponents who scored +100 points…Scored 2nd fewest combined TDs (45) and
rushing TDs (7)…TOP-10 QBS- None…TOP-10 RBS- None…TOP-20 WRS- (7) Amon-Ra St. Brown, DET, (8) Jaylen Waddle,

For the second year in-a-row, YANRAN WANG and SHANGHAI WANG draft 4th. If history is any indication of which position they’ll go
after, it is RB. In this case, they have the opportunity to land the 2nd highest projected back, namely Austin Ekeler...2022 NOTES:
Drafted 4th for RB Christian McCaffrey, finished with a 1-12-1 record…Posted 1-8-0 record vs. +.500 opponents and 0-12-0 vs.
opponents who scored +100 points…Scored league-low combined TDs (34), passing TDs (1)…TOP-10 QBS- None…TOP-10 RBS- (2)

Mexico’s RENE CHAVEZ and the DRAGONES hold the 5th spot. The Dragones went on a tear last year before Cooper Kupp went
down with an ankle injury, including a 4-0 start. Thus, it may be wise for them to count on Cooper dominating again…2022 NOTES:
Drafted 3rd overall for WR Cooper Kupp, finished with a 7-7-0 record… Won Fire & Ice Division…Earned #3 seed…Made 3rd-straight
World Bowl appearance…Posted 0-5-0 record vs. +.500 opponents and 2-6-0 against opponents who scored +100 points…TOP-10

Choosing 6th are the UK’s JASON RUTH and the BOWL BOUND MAVERICKS. With their past eight 1st round draft picks, 6 were
spent on RBs and 2 went for QBs. If projections are correct, this could be the first time they target a wide receiver, namely Tyreek Hill…
2022 NOTES: Drafted 8th for RB Derrick Henry, finished with a franchise-best 9-5-0 record…Earned #5 seed…Scored 2nd most points
(1,827)…Posted 5-5-0 record vs. +500 opponents and 4-5-0 against opponents who scored +100 points…Ranked 1st in def. fumble
recoveries (12), 2nd in passing TDs (27), 3rd in combined TDs (79) and rushing TDs (31)…TOP-10 QBS- (5) Geno Smith, SEA, (9t)

Drafting 7th are Mexico’s JORGE BOADA and BLEEDING BLUE. Bleeding Blue is notorious for using their 1st round picks on QBs.
But as a Giants fan, can team owner Jorge Boada fight the temptation to scoop up RB Saquan Barkley? We shall see…2022 NOTES:
Drafted 9th for QB Josh Allen, finished with a 11-3-0 record…Won the Four Winds Division…Earned #2 seed…Ranked 2nd in
combined TDs (82)…Posted 6-3-0 record vs. +.500 opponents and 5-3-0 against opponents who scored +100 points…TOP-10 QBS-
(3) Josh Allen, BUF…TOP-10 RBS- (6) Nick Chubb, CLE…TOP-20 WRS- (4) Stefon Diggs, BUF, (11t) Christian Kirk, JAC, (18) Chris
Godwin, TB… TOP-10 TES- None…TOP-10 PKS- None…TOP-10 DST- (4) 49ers, SF
3. In the past, the UK’s GORDON DEDMAN and the MEN OF STEEL have drafted heavy for Steelers players, which proved fatal in ‘22.
When their 8th overall pick comes around, Bijan Robinson’s the best on the board. If so, would mark the 8th-straight time they’ve used
their 1st round pick on a RB…2022 NOTES: Drafted 2nd for RB Najee Harris, finished with a 3-11-0 record…Posted 1-10-0 record vs.
+500 opponents and 1-9-0 against opponents who scored +100 points…TOP-10 QBS- None… TOP-10 RBS- (5) Saquon Barkley,

Selecting 9th are the USA’s BERKELEY WILEY and the BIG DAWGS who have never chosen a wideout in the 1st round. After
missing the playoffs for a 5th-straight year, perhaps a change to their strategy might fare them well. Stefon Diggs would be perfect…
2022 NOTES: Drafted 11th for RB Damion Cook, finished with a 7-7-0 record…Missed playoffs for 5th-straight season…Posted 3-6-0
record vs. +500 opponents and 0-7-0 against opponents who scored +100 points…Scored 5th most points (1,666)Ranked 3rd in
coaching and 2nd in overall receiving…Ranked 4th in combined TDs (70), 2nd in receiving TDs (27), T3rd passing TDs (31)…TOP-10

With the top-4 RBs and top-5 WRs likely gone, Russia’s MIKHAIL REZAKOV and the RUSSIAN HACKERS, who have the 10th draft
pick, might pounce on the opportunity to grab Travis Kelce while the gettin’s still good…2022 NOTES: Drafted 5th for RB Austin Ekeler,
finished with a 7-7-0 record…Ranked 2nd in overall rushing…Posted 4-6-0 record vs. +.500 opponents and 3-6-0 against opponents
who scored +100 points…TOP-10 QBS- (9) Jared Goff, DET…TOP-10 RBS- (1) Austin Ekeler, LAC, (9) Aaron Jones, GB…TOP-20

At #11 is Canada’s MICHAEL REMIS and REMIS ISLAND. 3 of their last 4 1st-round draft picks were spent on RBs and with a healthy
Jonathan Taylor still on the board, being able to get him while drafting so late could prove to be the bargain of the season…2022
NOTES: Drafted 12th for RB Joe Mixon, finished with an 8-6-0 record…Only team to win 3-straight World Bowl titles (’20, ’19,
’18)…Made post-season for 5th time in 7 seasons…Earned #6 seed…Has 3rd all-time highest winning percentage (53-38-2, .581)…
Posted 4-6-0 record vs. +.500 opponents and 3-6-0 against opponents who scored +100 points…Ranked 1st in overall rushing and
rushing TDs (32)…TOP-10 QBS- None…TOP-10 RBS- (2) Josh Jacobs, LV, (8) Rhamondre Stevenson, NE, (10) Joe Mixon, CIN…

Drafting 12th are China’s defending World Champions HUI GUO and the JAYMIN. Like Remis Island, 3 of their last 4 1st-round draft
picks were spent on RBs, and drafting so low in the pecking order, yet having a chance to pick up a top-tier running back is a rarity
within itself. By the time the Jaymin select, there’s a 50-50 chance Josh Jacobs will still be on the board. If that’s the case, the Jaymin
will add him and build a tremendous base in their push for back-to-back titles…2022 NOTES: Won 2nd World Bowl title…Drafted 6th
for WR Justin Jefferson, finished with a 9-4-1 record…Earned #4 seed… Posted 5-4-0 record vs. +.500 opponents and 4-4-0 against
opponents who scored +100 points…TOP-10 QBS- (4) Joe Burrow, CIN, (7) Justin Fields, CHI…TOP-10 RBS- None…TOP-20 WRS-
