The Federal Reserve Committee expects that it will be appropriate
to maintain the target range for the federal funds rate until labor
market conditions have reached levels consistent with the
Committee’s assessments of maximum employment, and inflation
has risen to two percent and is on track to moderately exceed two
percent for some time

A review of “When Will Government Control of Freddie Mac and
Fannie Mae End” report by the New York University Furman
Center For Real Estate and Urban Policy
Fourteen years after the height of the financial crisis, Freddie Mac
and Fannie Mae are still under government conservatorship. It
appears that the status of the GSEs’ conservatorship is not going
to change in the near future
Why was the reserve requirement cut to 0% in 2020 and when
will it be raised? Raising the reserve requirement would allow the
Fed to implement a more dovish monetary policy in terms of
interest rates, which in turn would help bolster the U.S. housing
market, help the GSEs exit Conservatorship, and strengthen the
financial integrity of the banking system
