For the past 5 years, she has worked in the video production department at UNC Athletics, producing a variety of video content including game highlights, features on student-athletes, and live event coverage. She also runs her own photography and videography business. Escobar is proficient with various cameras and video/audio equipment and has experience in all stages of the video production process from pre-production to post-production.

Club, Student-Athlete Development, Student-Athlete Career Services, NeuLion, Learfelid Sports, Ticketing, Tar

With the growth of ACC Digital Network, Go Heels productions
divided into New Services, Game Day, and Video Board teams. I am
the primary videographer and editor for Olympic sports content while
continuing to assist with Football and Men’s Basketball.
Football sideline videographer and creator of “Game Day Sights and
Sounds” weekly feature where I film fans, tailgating, Tar Heel Town,
kid friendly events, Bell Tower walk, and other land marks and
traditions pregame and team sideline reactions and in-the-stands fan
excitement during the game, and post game speeches and celebrations
post game, that capture the Game Day atmosphere around Carolina
Football
Identify stories, research topics, film, conduct interviews, edit, and
distribute features through sport’s individual social media accounts.
Train and oversee students to help News Services team with weekly

Traveled as sole behind the scenes videographer for NCAA National
Championship weekend with men’s lacrosse (’16), women’s lacrosse
(’16), field hockey (’16), and women’s soccer (’16).
The Rammy’s:
Primary video content producer for the annual athletics award show,
modeled after the ESPY Awards, in which we celebrate and recognize
team’s outstanding athletics, academic, and service achievements. On
the original planning committee and tasked with creating nominee
categories (i.e. Female Student-Athlete Of The Year, Best Play, Best
Team), five nominations for each of the 11 athletic categories and
three service categories, corresponding video for those nominations
shown at the Rammy’s, film and produce several skit videos, organize
student-athlete talent, and assist the director with script writing,
electronic ballots and stage direction. I’m also in charge of
interviewing winners backstage and editing winner recap videos.

sensitivity through department wide workshops, suggestions to senior staff based on climate
surveys, diversity speakers at department events, distributing inclusion guidelines for
Athletic Communications and job search committees, and honoring African-American
achievements through the Annual Tar Heel Trailblazer award. This is presented to two
deserving former student-athletes in honor of Black History month that recognizes their

Trail Blazer Post Graduate Fellowship - Creator 2017
- As a member of the diversity committee, I presented the idea of this fellowship as a way to
embrace our past while celebrating the future generation of Trailbalzers. This now endowed
scholarship will be presented to a student-athlete who demonstrates advocacy for any
multicultural topic and who seeks to grow their passion for human rights and equality post
graduation. This will be announced at the 2017 Rammy Awards in the spring.
Disney Institute – Selected to serve on the Internal Communications work team during UNC’s 2 year
partnership with the Disney Institute 2014-2016
- As part of this eight member team, we worked for eight months together and with the
guidance of the Disney Institute, to suggest a list of best practices for the entire athletic
department that we presented to the executive team and senior staff members.
