This document provides a template for playing Jeopardy, including:
- Rules for the host, scorekeeper, and game operator and their roles
- Instructions for teams to select categories and monetary values and to provide their responses in question form
- An editable game board with topics and clues at different price points
- Sections for team names and final scores
The template allows users to insert their own questions, answers, team names and play the game.
5. Rules - The Host
■ introduces game
■ reads categories at start of rounds
■ reads clues
■ asks for responses
■ judges answers
■ reads correct response if no correct
response given
6. Rules - The Scorekeeper
■ keeps scores for all teams
■ if team correctly responds, team
adds value of clue to their score
■ if team incorrectly responds, team
subtracts value of clue to their score
■ identifies teams that disqualify by
discussing during response
7. Rules - The Game Operator
■ runs the game board/presentation
■ identifies first team that buzzes in
○ whether via a buzzer system,
raising hands, etc.
■ each question is given 1 minute of
allotted time for teams to answer
○ no points awarded if none
respond
8. Rules - The Teams
■ team randomly chosen to go 1st
■ begin game by selecting category &
monetary value
○ (i.e. “Fun Questions for $200”)
■ must answer in form of question
○ (i.e. “Who is Albert Einstein?”)
■ allowed to discuss answer before
buzzing in, but not after
