The labor force also increased each year but at a lower rate, growing by 861 in 2010, 991 in 2011, and 1,550 in 2012. In 2012-2013, Norman received a $2.5 million grant for infrastructure development and was in the finals for four economic development projects while also supporting expansions of existing major employers and pursuing prospects through call trips to various cities.
