3. Nationally Renowned Founder & President
Marisa C. Weiss, M.D. is the Founder, President and guiding force behind
Breastcancer.org. A breast cancer oncologist with more than 20 years of
active practice in the Philadelphia region, Dr. Weiss is regarded as a visionary
advocate for her innovative and steadfast approach to informing, empowering
and treating patients with breast cancer.
A regular on ABC’s Good Morning America, Dr. Weiss has appeared on CNN’s
House Call, CBS’ The Early Show and NBC’s TODAY. She has a monthly
column on MSN.com, serves on the Medical Advisory Board for Cosmopolitan
and Cosmo Girl and has had guest appearances on National Public Radio
(NPR), CNN Radio and ABC Radio.
Dr. Weiss has just issued Living Well Beyond Breast Cancer, an updated
edition of her groundbreaking book, Living Beyond Breast Cancer, about
surviving breast cancer and coming to terms with the challenges that follow.
She has also co-authored Taking Care of Your Girls with her daughter, Isabel
Friedman, as well as 7 Minutes: How to Get the Most From Your Doctor Visit.
Dr. Weiss currently practices at Lankenau Hospital where she serves as
director of Breast Radiation Oncology and director of Breast Health Outreach.
