- 2. The South DakotaAssociation for Healthcare Quality (SDAHQ) is an organization dedicated to healthcare quality in all settings. SDAHQ is affiliated with the National Association for Healthcare Quality (NAHQ) and the South Dakota Association of Healthcare Organizations (SDAHO). SDAHQ members include professionals in acute care, managed care, long-term care, community and home health, ambulatory care as well as consultants and educators. EDUCATION SDAHQ offers educational opportunities during our Spring Conference each May and at the Fall Annual Meeting which coincides with the SDAHO Annual Convention. The educational committee is offering educational opportunities throughout the year. NEWSLETTER The newsletter provides members with updates and articles of interest as well as upcoming programs. This is published seasonally, or 4 times a year DIRECTORY Compiled annually and distributed to all members, this important resource contains a current listing of members including contact information to promote networking. SDAHQ Objectives 1. To establish a formal communication network for professionals throughout the state in order to share information of common interest 2. To provide a mechanism for supplying education opportunities that is specific to the unique needs of the membership of this state 3. To provide a support group for the individual members in their endeavors to meet the ever evolving and more complex requirements of their professional responsibilities. 4. To create professional standards for hospitals for use as guidelines when developing standards of practice at the local level. 5. To increase the perception of professionalism in healthcare quality providers within the state of South Dakota National Affiliation SDAHQ is an affiliated state organization of NAHQ the nation’s leading organization for healthcare quality professionals. Its mission is to improve the quality of healthcare and to support the development of professionals in healthcare quality.
