On Oct. 14-15, Haitao Zhang, Director of EMBARQ China presented at the 4th China Transit Metropolis Development Forum. This was an influential forum in transit field, organized by Ministry of Transport, Guangdong provincial and Shenzhen municipal transport authorities. His presentation focused on the transport development trends in China and other countries , and how EMBARQ China will follow these trends to make maximum external impact.
Richard is an Architect and Urban Designer and has been with HASSELL since 2007. In China since 2009, Richard has worked on a variety of complex large-scale projects, often leading multi-disciplinary project teams in delivering broadly successful urban design solutions. Richard resolves complex design problems through rigourous project process with extensive urban analysis leading to clear and responsive design concepts and strategies.
Richard has extensive experience working within design and planning firms in Australia, the United Kingdom, and China. Prior to joining HASSELL, Richard’s experience spread from retail master planning and design/documentation in London, to the preparation of local government design and planning controls in Sydney. Richard has recently completed his Master of International Urban and Environmental Management (IUEM), extending his knowledge beyond architecture and urban design to the more strategic challenges being faced by cities in the developing world.
