This document outlines the 'Building Voices from the South' peer review project funded by the Ford Foundation, which aims to increase the representation of voices from the Global South in international peer-reviewed journals related to sexual and reproductive health. It discusses the project's objectives, workshops, challenges, and strategies for capacity building, emphasizing the need for standards to include more emerging researchers in global academic discussions. Various workshops and courses were held across multiple countries to engage researchers and address barriers in writing and publishing their work.
