A Few Representative Experiences
Basel II Model Validation of various Portfolios
Basel II is the recommendations on banking laws and regulations issued by the
Basel Committee on Banking Supervision.
Basel II,initially published in June 2004,was intended to create an international
standard for bankingregulators to control how much capital banksneed to put
asideto guard againstthe types of financial and operational risks banks(and the
whole economy) face. In theory, Basel II attempted to accomplish this by setting
up risk and capital management requirements designed to ensure that a bank
has adequate capital for the risk the bank exposes itself to through its lending
and investment practices.Generally speaking, these rules mean that the greater
risk to which the bank is exposed, the greater the amount of capital thebank
needs to hold to safeguard its solvency and overall economic stability.

 To understand the Basel laws created by regulatory
 Understand the Credit card Types, policies,Businessand Risk.
 Understand and validatethe model created by modelers that they are
meeting Basel laws
 Unit test the Model created by Modelers.
 Validatethat the model is correctly implemented in Sybase
environment by comparingresults of each testing customers.
Basel II Model monthly Tracking application for a financial services Client
 Created requirements and schemes to build an automated Web/SQL
based application for a monthly trackingof Basel production run
 Purposeis to have an end-to-end statistics/ trend generation of the
complete model process and one-on-one validation on sampledata
Automation and Optimization of Various Portfolios
 Data Preparation for different portfolios.
 Segmentation on different portfolios.
 Scoringon different portfolios.
 Post Model Logic Execution for different Portfolios.
 ComparingData and ValidatingData
 Performing Data Analysis on Different portfolios and finding
reasons of Mismatch.
