An engineering staff was transporting a guest from the villa area to the main entrance when the guest fell from the engineering pickup vehicle in the ramp area. Hotel security and medical staff responded, applying first aid and arranging a room for further treatment. An ambulance was called and the guest was transported to the hospital for x-rays where he was found to have epilepsy. The guest received treatment and returned to the hotel in stable condition.

Today 21st of May 2011 around 09:00, An Engineering staff Mr. Harizu Zaman (455) has called everybody at
the main entrance for help and the in house guest of villa-3 has fallen down on the floor from the engineering
pick –up club car no.10 at the ramp area as the engineering staff has picked-up the guest from the villas area
to the main entrance by that club car, Security & DM have responded to the scene and the guest has been
escorted to the hotel lobby and the hotel nurse has been called immediately and came to the hotel lobby as
the guest finger was swollen, cold compress has been applied for him by the nurse and one room 212 has
been arranged for him to receive his medical assistance there, DOS and EOD have been called and proceeded
to the room where the nurse, DS and DM were over there, ambulance has been called for further treatment
and came at 09:40 and advised the guest to go to the hospital for X-ray so the guest has been taken by the
hotel limousine accompanied by the hotel nurse and DS to Franco hospital, at 11:30 DS has called DOS and
informed him the guest is suffering from Epilepsy as it happened to him in the hospital and he got the
Epilepsy injection by the doctor waiting for him to be fine to start treating his finger.
Action:
 The guest has received an appropriate medical emergency by the hotel nurse.
 One room (212) has been arranged for the guest to receive his medical assistance there
 EOD and DOS have accompanied the guest to the room with the nurse, DM and DS.
 Ambulance has been called for further treatment and medical assistance.
 Ambulance has arrived at 09:40 and the guest has been treated by the paramedics and they have
advised the guest to go to the hospital for x-ray.
 Hotel limousine has been arranged for the guest to pick him up to Franco hospital for x-ray and
further treatment.
 DS and the hotel nurse have accompanied the guest to the hospital.
Investigation:
 An engineering staff has been interviewed and as per him that he was going to P&C kitchen to fix one
machine there and while he was driving in front of villa-3, the guest has stopped him and requested
to drop him at the hotel main entrance, the staff told the guest that he could not pick up by that club
car as it was suitable and comfortable for him because it was a pick up club car and he was going to
send him another club car but the guest got angry and insisted to be dropped by that club car, so the
staff has picked him up and while he driving at the ramp area near to security store going to the main
entrance , the guest has fallen down suddenly on the floor although he was driving very slowly, the
staff ran and called the staff at the main entrance for help.

2. Conclusion:
 The guest has requested from the staff to pick him up by the engineering club car no.10 and he has
insisted for that when the staff informed him that he could not as that club car was not suitable and
comfortable for him as it was a pick-up one so the staff has picked up him.
 The guest has fallen down from the club car at the ramp area although the staff was driving slowly.
 The guest small finger for his right hand got swollen.
 The guest has been escorted by security and DM to the lobby and the hotel nurse has been called.
 EOD & DOS have been called and room 212 has been arranged for the guest to receive his medical
assistance there.
 Hotel nurses have arrived and apply an appropriate medical assiatnce for the guest.
 Ambulance has been called for further treatment.
 Ambulance has arrived at 09:40 and the paramedics have advised the guest to go to the hospital for
x-ray and further treatment.
 Hotel limousine has been arrnaged and the guest has been accompanied by hotel nurse and DS to
Franco hospital.
 X-ray has been done for the guest but there the guest started to shake, be nervious and falling down
and when the doctor has checked him , they discovered that he had epilepsy.
 The guest got injection for that and he has been transferred to Khalifa hospital according to Franco
hospital doctors for further and advanced treatment for that.
 DOS has proceeded to Khalifa Hospital to check the situation there.
 At 15:00 The guest has come back to the hotel accompanied by DOS, DS and hotel nurse with all in
order and room 621 has been arranged for him and he was fine.
