Mexico has several important historical dates: [1] September 16th marks Mexican Independence Day, commemorating Miguel Hidalgo's call for independence from Spain in 1810 after over 5 years of fighting. [2] September 13th honors the Niños Héroes, the young military cadets who fought bravely against U.S. forces during the Mexican-American War but ultimately died defending Chapultepec Castle in Mexico City. [3] November 20th, 1910 marked the beginning of the Mexican Revolution as Francisco Madero called for "effective suffrage and no reelection" launching a decade-long armed struggle against dictatorship and for land and political reforms.

2. 16 de septiembre On 16 September is the day when many friends birthday ... but what few know is that aside from the birthday also marks the independence day. On the day that Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla gave the cry for independence. The war was one of the longest battles that won Mexico's history. Began on September 15 and ended on 16 that month but not in the same year. We became independent thanks to our forefathers who gave the struggle for more than 5 years. VIVA MEXICO

3. 13 de septiembreNiños Heroes During the war declared by the United States to Mexico in order to obtain the territories of Alta California and New Mexico, the U.S. Army under the command of General Winfield Scott, attacked Chapultepec Castle was located where the military college. The young cadets, most teenagers, who formed the battalion by Nicolás Bravo, they displayed courage in resisting aggression and even melee fighting. Yet in the end, the Americans took the castle. Account Noris [citation needed] that Montes de Oca, then one of his best friends told him he had dreamed that he would die that day, to which Noris said to have faith and would work out the incident. Lt. Juan Escutia died defending the horn-work at the southern foot of the hill. The 37 cadets survivors were taken prisoners of war.

4. 20 de November Starting in 1910, began an armed struggle with the Plan of San Luis Potosi, and later other leaders, faced various problems, as were the unfair distribution of wealth, the existence of large estates to put the field Mexico in the hands of a few landowners, the exploitation of workers by capitalist industrial, administrative corruption, denial of democracy in the elections, the country's cultural stagnation and other problems that led to the revolutionary struggle. The armed movement had several stages: * Don Francisco I. Madero, who in 1909 promoted Antirreeleccionista Party, the armed movement began November 20, 1910 pushing for the "Effective Suffrage and No Reelection" and die for the cause of the Revolution in the episode known as the "Ten Days"; * Pancho Villa took his command of the Northern Division; * Emiliano Zapata fought for land justice; * Venustiano Carranza, in March 1913, rose against the government of the usurper Victoriano Huerta, known struggle culminated in the enactment of the Federal Constitution (February 5, 1917), which currently governs us. In this paper are embodied the ideals of the principal leaders of the Mexican Revolution.
